Youth Leadership Trainee Scheme

Hands-on experience of community engagement and organisational management

Since Autumn 2018, RTI has employed two paid, part-time trainees, working with us in entry-level roles in order to acquire early professional experience in the humanitarian sector. Our trainees work closely with the Youth Project Lead to co-ordinate activities for our youth programme participants. Over 6 months, they learn about all aspects of work at RTI, and receive support and training from staff members to help them realise their ambitions.

We are proud of our recent graduates, Ana Maria and Bagher! Ana Maria moved on from the traineeship program to an internship with UNHCR-Greece, and Bagher became a full-time ECD facilitator with RTI’s Baytna programme. Congratulations!

I am learning to communicate professionally with different actors and organisations. I have also learnt that I am good at talking and sharing my ideas in a group.
